A ramble about gifts

I have trouble with Christmas presents. I’m super broke so it’s hard to find something I can gift my friends. I’m also awkward about receiving gifts cause I feel bad about people spending money on me and it’s awkward if I don’t need or want the thing they’ve gifted me.

I love when I’m gifted something they made themselves instead. I’ve kept everything that’s been handmade by someone I’ve known, even after they’ve left my life. Real art comes attached with the human presence behind it, and the sentiment and thought of the person who spent time making it means so much to me, regardless of artistic skill.

At the end of each year, I like to make something to represent the art (mainly my videos and short films) I’ve made that year. Since 2021, I’ve been making ‘YEAR IN REVIEW’ montage videos. Something I wanted to do annually but ultimately only did once was design an art piece for a T-shirt that represented all the shorts I had made in 2021 with a friend. And then the next two years I just didn’t get around to it; a reason being that there was a discount happening when I got the shirts printed, otherwise it’s pretty dang expensive.

Super exclusive limited edition TimePop & Friends shirts (only 2 copies) (out of print) (sold out)
